The OCS uses a sensor in the passenger seat cushion and a small OCS control unit to decide whether an adult, a child seat or nobody is sitting there, and tells the airbag unit whether the passenger airbag may deploy. With B1018 stored, the airbag warning light stays on and the passenger airbag is usually suppressed, so an adult passenger may have no frontal airbag.   2. Check for open recalls
