Transmission Trouble Codes: List & Fixes

P07xx to P09xx codes cover automatic and automated transmissions: shift solenoids, pressure control, the transmission range switch, input and output speed sensors, fluid temperature and gear ratio monitoring. Many transmissions go into limp mode to protect themselves, holding one gear until the fault is cleared. Checking fluid level and condition, where the design allows it, is a sensible first step before any electrical diagnosis.
