Whirlpool names three suspects: a restriction in the airflow path, the cooling fan itself (on wall ovens specifically the upper oven cooling fan) or the wiring between fan and control. The cooling fan pulls room air past the control electronics and the door-lock area and blows it out near the top of the door, keeping them well below oven temperature. Can I use the cooktop while the oven shows F8 E0?

Self-clean produces the most heat, and a worn fan slows down as its bearings get hot. The control catches the drop in speed exactly when cooling matters most.
Could the range just need cleaning?
