Samsung lists 40E and 40C as an ice room fan error: the board powers the fan but gets no rotation feedback. By far the most frequent trigger is frost inside the ice room that locks the blade, a problem these French-door ice rooms are well known for when the ice room cover doesn't seal or water overflows from the tray.
