• Whirlpool Recalls Microwaves Due to Fire Hazard · Internal arcing during use can ignite an internal plastic component, posing a fire hazard.
• Whirlpool Recalls Jenn-Air Wall Ovens Due to Risk of Burns · The extendable roller rack can unexpectedly disengage when fully extended, posing a risk of burns to consumers.
• Samsung Over-the-Range Microwaves Recalled Due to Shock Hazard · If an installation bolt comes in contact with an electrical component inside the unit and the microwave is plugged into an ungrounded outlet, it could create a shock hazard.
• General Electric Recalls Microwave Combo Wall Ovens Due to Fire Hazard · The door switch in the microwave oven can overheat and ignite plastic components in the control area, posing a fire hazard to consumers. The lower thermal oven does not pose a hazard.
• CPSC, Whirlpool Announce Recall of Cooking Products · All of the appliances use faulty wiring, which can overheat, melt through the insulation and cause a short circuit. They may pose a shock hazard to consumers, if the appliance is not properly grounded
